Tegemist maailma suurima ainult surfile keskenduva serverite kommuuniga, kuhu kuulub terve kogumik Surf Speedrun servereid üle maailma, milles mängib regulaarselt kogu aktiivne surfiparemik. Nendele lisaks veel hetkel täiesti ainulaadne Surfcatch server, paar Surf_ski_2 serverit nii jailiga, kui ilma mängida eelistavatele mängijatele ja puhtalt chillimiseks mõeldud Freestyle server.

Omades soovi pakkuda meie servereid külastavatele mängijatele võimalikult head mängukogemust, ei ole me ühelegi serverile lisanud (vähemalt Eestis) juba tavapäraseks saanud SMS-teenuste või mingil muul teel endale administratiivsete õiguste soetamise võimalust. Kõik administraatorid valib juhtkond ise pika aja jooksul hästi silma paistnud mängijate seast.

Lineupis nüüd ka kolmas speedrun server, mis on mõeldud eelkõige speedruni esmakordselt proovijatele ja algajatele harjutamiseks. Serveri maplist uueneb automaatselt iga mapivahetusega vastavaks 30 kõige lihtsamale mapile mängijate hinnangu järgi. Selle speedrun serveriga saavad liituda ka non-steamerid, aga seetõttu puuduvad selles ka edetabelid.

Lisaks sellele on teistes speedrun serverites mitmed uuendused, millest mõni jõudnud ka eelmainitud uute serverisse.

Added a system, which allows you to make records for each level individually on maps that have them. Each level has a TOP, which you can access through the Overall TOP. World records on levels grant extra 10 points each. In a run, the levels also work as checkpoints, telling you how much faster or slower you were at that point than in your best run (if you had a time on the map before this update, you will have to improve once before it will work). The levels will be set up by admins as time goes.

Each map's difficulty and quality can now be rated at the end of the map or by typing /rate, as long as you have finished the map before. The average ratings are shown in mapvotes, on the overall/weekly top page and on the maplist page.

Väike jõuluüllatus - nimelt oleme me nüüd ühendanud jõud ametliku surfikommuuniga World-Surf, mis on juba pea 6 aastat surfihuvilisi ühendanud ja surf mapide maailmarekordeid vahendanud. Speedrun serverite nimed seega vahetatud World-Surf.com vastu.

Mängijate üldstatistika lehel saab nüüd soovi korral ka kogu nimekirja järjestada Vallutatud mapide hulga, Läbitud mapide hulga, Vallutatud levelite hulga või Mängitud aja järgi.

Ka World-Surf.com kommuunis tegime jõulude puhul päris mitmeid uuendusi ja veaparandusi. Tulevikus hakkame tõenäoliselt arendama ka erinevaid serveri-kodulehe vahelisi süsteeme.

Mängijate soovil lisasime ka Freestyle serveri, kus eesmärgiks pole rohkemat, kui üheskoos trikke otsida ja landida proovida.

Easy Maps Speedrun server läheb vähese huvi tõttu sulgemisele. Suure tõenäosusega tuleb selle asemele Surf Kill server (seda siis teiste mapidega, kui Surf_ski_2).

Nüüdsest on aga esmakordselt meie peaaegu kahe aastase tegutsemisaja jooksul meie põhilisi Speedrun servereid võimalik proovima tulla ka Non-Steameritel. Seda tingimusel, et neil on Protocol 48 versioon mängust ja neil ei ole võimalik edetabelitesse pääseda.

Lisaks sellele on Surf_ski_2 serveris mõned uuendused:
Serveri FPS tõstetud varasema 100 pealt 500 peale, mis peaks aitama mängijatele sujuvamat mänguelamust pakkuda.
Tiimid võrdsustatakse nüüd igal raundil jooksvalt, mitte järgneval roundil.
Maksimaalne rahalimiit on eemaldatud.
Raundi maksimaalne ajalimiit on muudetud 3 minuti peale.
Võimalus poole raundi ajal reconnectides uuesti spawnida on parandatud.
Raundi vahetusel laevad kõik relvad end automaatselt ära.

Line-upi lisandus Surf Deathmatch server, kuid ärge laske sellel nimel end lollitada, tegemist pole mingi tavalise Surf DM serveriga:

Serveris on (esialgu) 13 mapi, kuhu kõigisse on lisatud alguspunktid üle terve mapi. Nendes punktides spawnid sa serveriga liitudes, surres ja alla kukkudes (jailid on eemaldatud). Viimasel kahel juhul kaotad ka $500 raha. Selle kaotuse saad aga tasa teha killidega - nimelt saad ühe killi eest $2000, või kui see oli HS, siis $3000. Raha salvestub ka sinu järgmiseks mängusessiooniks, seega toimetage sellega mõistlikult.

Peale selle on serveris veel hulgaliselt väikseid mugavuslisasid - näiteks relvakates on lõputult relvi, oma tiimikaaslastest saab läbi minna, tiimid võrdsustuvad automaatselt iga surma järel, eemale jäädes suunatakse sind mõne aja pärast automaatselt Spectatoriks jne. Kõigi võimalustega tutvumiseks peate serveri ise järgi proovima.

Nagu ka Surf_ski_2 serveris, on meie Surf Deathmatch serveris raha limiit eemaldatud ja serveri FPS on 500.

NB! Enamus serveri lisad on spetsiaalselt selle serveri jaoks koostatud ja neid on testitud vaid lühiajaliselt mõne mängijaga, seega andke igasugustest probleemidest kindlasti teada.

Rahvaküsitluste põhjal näib, et Surf_ski_2 mängijad jagunevad praktiliselt 50-50 - kellele meeldib pigem jailiga mängida, kellele ilma. Sellest lähtuvalt otsustasin avada ka teise Surf_ski_2 serveri, ilma jailita. Sellele serverile saab ligi läbi IP: speedrun.eu:27017

Lisaks arendasin mõlemale serverile välja mitmed uued süsteemid:

Exitkill vastane süsteem
Võimalus oma tiimikaaslasi, vett, ning teatud teisi objekte mapis nähtamatuks muuta, mis aitab FPS probleemidega. (/invis)
Üle 15 sekundi relvakas viibides viskab automaatselt välja
/resetscore või lühendatult, /rs käsklus, mis võimaldab oma hetkene skoor lähtestada
Automaatne tiimi valimine vastavalt tiimide suurustele ja skooridele, nii serveriga liitudes kui ka specist lahkudes
Helisignaalid ja tekstsõnumid, kui proovid tappa keelatud kohas või viisil
Kukkumiskahju blokeerija
Peale 30 sekundit eemalolekut tõstetakse sind automaatselt pealtvaatajaks


Ilma jailita serverile lõin ka järgmised lisad:
Alla kukkudes on 1.5 sekundit protection
Spawnib poolsuvalisse kohta õige jaili asukoha kandis, vältimaks üksteise sisse kinni jäämist

Serveritel on jälle uued IPd, kuid seda garanteeritult viimast korda. Palun lisage need omale uuesti lemmikutesse, esimeses postituses olevate IPde järgi.

Kõigis serverites on uus ühine ban- ja mutesüsteem. Mängijad saavad nüüd ka ajutiselt ise teisi mängijaid serverisiseselt vaigistada (voice), seda käsklusega /mute.

Surf Deathmatch server sai paraja uuenduskuuri, nimelt:
Server on nüüd Free For All, ehk ilma tiimideta, igaüks iseenda eest
Rahasüsteem on eemaldatud
Relvad on mapidest eemaldatud
Relvu saab nüüd valida kohe spawnides ja ka hiljem vahetada käsklusega /guns
Lisatud Auto Bunnyhop
Lisatud No Fall Damage

Kuigi me teeme endiselt mingil määral koostööd edasi, oleme me erinevatel põhjustel World-Surf kommuunist taas lahku läinud. Lisaks oleme vahepeal laienenud üle maailma ja muidugi ka kõigis serverites loendamatul hulgal uuendusi teinud. Paljusid meie serverites tehtud rekordeid näeb nüüd ka meie YouTube kanalil. Tegin ka esimese postituse ümber praegusele situatsioonile vastavaks.
